Hi everyone, I wanted to get my feet wet with a video. So today I spent ohh about 4 hours videoing, downloading.. Still cant get the software to recognize the file. So I just filmed about  the piecing and talked. Hope you enjoy it. :)

Well I finished another layout today.. It's not exactly how I had it planned, but it turned out ok and I can wait to put pics from the kids eating yummy Dairy Queen ice cream on it. Have an awesome night. :)

Sorry for the bad photos I was in a hurry. I just love these bookworms. I think this is one of favorite school files, even my daughter asked where was her a layout with the worms... lol So I guess I will be making another layout like this for First Grade too. 

Oh and I drew the mouths on the worms.. they just needed a smile. :)

Teacher Appreciation Week 2012

So Teacher Appreciation week has arrived and by that I mean I am seriously cranking out some gifts for these 3 fine ladies who has put up with my 2 kiddos for the past 9 months. I can tell my kids have really learned alot this year and I really loved their teachers this year. I have only completed 1 gift so far, but I am working on the other 2 this week. 

I used my new Black Cat Cougar to cut some vinyl. This cup is for my daughters 1st grade teacher, Mrs. West. Hannah picked out the cup and the color of vinyl she wanted. We also filled the cup with pens, chapstick, gum, notepad and crystal light. 

 This was actually easier to make than I had thought once I figured out my machine and got my groove going.

Unique projects

I am posting some unique projects I made a few months ago .

I made this church box my simply making 2 churches identical and scoring a paper to make the sides and bottom. I purchased the file from Treasure Box Design It call Xmas Village ( Church & Carolers).

I made this the same way i did the church. I think it would be so cute for a gift with some home made cards or recipes. I also purchased this file from Treasure Box Design. The file is called Grandma;s Bake house.

This layout uses a couple different files from Treasure Box Design. The cat & larger fish was a freebie a while back and the rest came from another file.. Sorry I dont have the name in front of me, So I dont remember the name. 

How I organize picture of my SVG files

When I first started buying/downloading SVG files, They were just half way saved on my computer I would have to search to find what I wanted and sometimes didn't even know what I had. After I purchased my Black Cat Cougar. I knew I had to get organized. So I printed  images of all the files I had saved on my computer. I pasted about 10 images on 1 sheet of paper. Then I cut each image to fit inside each sleeve. I wrote the name of the company I purchase or downloaded the file from. I also labeled dividers for different themes of files I had.



 

I use front and back of card holders to hold images.

 

 

Finally I saved all my files on my computer as SVGCOMPANYINITALSTITLE.SVG this way when I pick out the file I want, I know who designed it and I can go straight to it. Hope this helps. :) Oh and don't forget to back them up on a flash drive as well. 

The Black Pearl makes a sock monkey

Well me and my Black Cat aka the Pearl was hanging out last night and decided to make something. I had seen sock monkey earlier that day and knew that I was going to try it. I recently purchased a new file from http://www.scrappydew.com/ called Sock Monkeys so I  made the monkey to match some k & company paper called Berry Sweet. I plan to use these for a layout.. but I am giving you a sneak peak @ my monkey

Isin't it cute. I can't wait to post the layout : )

I am getting a new diecut machine

Ok So I decided to upgrade from the cricut.. dont get me wrong I love my cricut.. just not provocraft so much. We wont get into politics and such but I can't wait to get my new machine and try some new materials like felt and heavier chipboard. I plan to post more projects soon. I can't wait to update and let everyone know how me and my new toy are working out.. I also will be giving it a name.. just have to think of some..

Yeah! paper crafting Finally!

These are some treats I made for our church's Easter egg hunt, and my daughters school, and my sons daycare. I have made over 70+ because I made bigger ones for my nieces and nephews. I didn't take a picture of those because I haven't stuffed them. The bunny one is on the Cricut Easter 2010 cartridge, for the cross I changed it out with design studio and the cross is from Design Calendar. Enjoy.

VBS Poster for church

I did this entire poster from the cricut cart Old West. A few people in our church would like the church to purchase a cricut for VBS, sunday school, bulltien boards and other stuff. So I did this poster to help show what the cricut can do. Our VBS title this year is SAddle Ridge Ranch. I wish I could have done more for them, but I have a terrible sinus cold right now and the watery eyes and sniffles was getting the better of me yesterday while I was working on it. TFL ~Heather

We had our family pics done this november, I must say they aren't the best but the photo center at walmart made them look alot better in person than on the computer.

SCrapbook cabinet

I have been so busy with school, but I do have 3 A's and 1 B so the painfulness away from the blog, cricut board and scrappin has paid off. I still have 2 more quarters to do before I am done. We started cleaning the estate, the cabinet above is my grandmas craft cabinet and I asked after it was empty could I take it home and my mom and aunt said yes. So I get a scrappin cabinet to fill before back to the grind stone of school.

a quick post

hello everyone I didn't fall of the face of the earth, yet! I have been really busy in medical assisting school. I will say so farrrr my grades have been very decent and I think I may get to scrapbook this weekend as my reward.

here is a few pics from this past weekend, we had my baby's 3rd bday party and I got him the little tykes 2 in 1 workbench can u say excited. He loves it and I love it because I got it brand new in the box from tuesday morning for $35, it was on clearance.

I will try to post more now that my teacher has synched my laptop with school I can work on my blog during my breaks.

Another sad Story.

Well I am posting to let everyone know where I have been and why I havent been creative. MY last post in july was the death of my grandpa he was killed in a tractor accident. Since then my grandmother became ill and our family has been busy taking care of her and things. Grandma was took to be Jesus Tuesday. Her funeral is tommorrow. They died 2 months apart and almost to the same hour. They truly were connected. They had 55 years together. Pic on the left is about the time they got married and the right is at their 50th anniversary party almost 6 years ago. May they rest in peace.

I promise to be back soon... I have invitations for DS bday party and I can't wait to show u, as soon as I can. Have a great weekend . God Bless.
