Another sad Story.

Well I am posting to let everyone know where I have been and why I havent been creative. MY last post in july was the death of my grandpa he was killed in a tractor accident. Since then my grandmother became ill and our family has been busy taking care of her and things. Grandma was took to be Jesus Tuesday. Her funeral is tommorrow. They died 2 months apart and almost to the same hour. They truly were connected. They had 55 years together. Pic on the left is about the time they got married and the right is at their 50th anniversary party almost 6 years ago. May they rest in peace.

I promise to be back soon... I have invitations for DS bday party and I can't wait to show u, as soon as I can. Have a great weekend . God Bless.

Whimsical Design Team Challenge

Our challenge for WS&B was to use the colors above. Just so happen I had these papers laying out for easter and it seemed a perfect fit. I used lyrical letters (love this cartridge so versital).

I have many more layouts to blog and I promise to get them on here and get my awards that so many has awarded me, thank you. I apologize for not getting more on top of things.

Hannah my daughter started school last week and I got my acceptance letter to start my Associate in Applied Science so I will be busy working on that. I will be back later to get all the pics I just took uploaded and posted and I can'twait to blog hop since my main computer has been down it does all the picture stuff.

Using some supplies

Thank to Robyn at mypinkstamper.com I decided I would also use something I haven't used in a while. So I dusted off the chipboard and made some very bright cards. All the paper is DCWV cardstock with 2009 spring glitter stack and butterflies and blossoms stack. I also had the matching chipboard for both design stacks so I was using up my chipboard and my stacks.

Thank you to all of those that have left me messages of hope and prayers. They have truely helped in this time of need. Sorry I have been away on top my my granddaddys death I have had a sinus infection. So today I finally felt like pulling out my stuff and crafting. I will post my card as soon as they get posted on the whimsical scraps and bugs blog .

a Sad post

Words can't describe how I feel right now. I received a call about 4pm today tell me that my grandfather is with angels. This was unexpected and tragic. Please pray for my family and my grandmother they have been married 55 years and this is a shocking blow to us all. Heather

Finally a vacation

WE had a really good time. I am going to be honest the georgia aquarium is not all that it's hyped up to be for the ticket prices you should be able to look at things with out 50 people trying to look at the same 2 1/2 feet hole in the wall that you want to look at (this was in the rainforest area) . Now the area with the sharks was cool. I hate getting ran over with strollers and people that stop in the middle of the path and talk on their phone....but it was fun to have family time and I have really enjoyed having my hubby off for a week. So this has been a fun trip and I can't wait to scrap it. So I hope to be back crafting after he returns to work, since we are trying to make the most of his time off. WE are planning a trip to the Creative Discovery in a couple of weeks so we are looking foward to that. Have a blessed weekend ~Heather.

Paper Dolls mother/daughter dinner

I finally got my mojo back. I have been feeling kinds bad lately. So I am glad to get a project done. This is from our mother/daughter dinner at church. I used paper dolls cart.

5 new cards

All these cards are using scraps and the cuttle kids flower dies. Except for one my kids helped me put them together. I picked out the paper and they did an awesome job helping me assemble them. Pretty good for a 2 and 4 year old. :)

summer cookout

This is the funniest video of my DD at the end she doesn't realize I am filming. lol.
We were cooking out for my Husbands and my Brother in law birthdays, plus my hubbys nephew (the baby eating food) It was his first b day. This is not a high quiality video. I was hoping I could film and take make pictures from the video after I uploaded them on the computer..but the pictures were not great quality and some were just plan not clear at all... (If anyone has an Idea to fix this I am all ears. I did upgrade my camera settings to film in high quality this video is not high quality.) I use a sony DSC-H7 camera :)

Found this and I am feeling so much better

I found this video on someone's blog..sorry I can't remember. I will edit it if I find out whos blog I was looking at. Anyway I am uploading this to my blog to share with family. I hope they enjoy it. I have had a real emotional week and it just nice to be reminded that God is Great!

Thank you leanne and Brenda for my awards, I will try to get them up on my blog tonight. WE have been crazy this week my hubby's birthday was yesterday and the day before we had his cousins surprise party and played put-put and sat we are having hubby's nephew party and then getting cards ready for fathers day.. MY kids sunday school teacher was in the hospital..still is, she was having heart problems. Then I have had to keep the house cleaned so we can go on the trip, So this is my week in a nutshell.

On a good note I found some hannah montana and high school musical stamps at walmart for $2.50 and wedding thank yous that I can cover with card fronts and they only cost $4.50 for 100 (clearance). So check out the clearance section. Still waiting on hubby's boss to approve his time off so we can go to the zoo and aquarium, so I hope to know tomorrow if it's a go for the weekend I want to go, otherwise it will a hot trip in july, lol. Thanks for the well wishes, I can't wait to scrapbook it. I have picked out some paper for the aquarium.

We are going on vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah!!!!, I have actually talked my hubby into driving into atlanta and take the kids to the Atlanta Zoo and Aquarium . I am so excited..... I hope it all works out good for us, it has been 3 years since our last vacation. Since the economy is slummpy we knew a beach visit was out of the question. So I am excited to take our kids on learning adventures that my daughter can tell about when she starts school Aug 7 yikes it gets earlier every years. So WAHOOOOO.

Well I found some great boy paper for me and my big ideas at Michaels stores. I seen this posted on Cricut.com messageboard and knew I had to have it since I have a son and 3 nephews. this is the upc incase anyone wants to call their local store before driving by.
